Prop 65 Notice

Proposition 65, as it is known in the state of California, has been written to inform California residents of the levels of more than 800 various “chemicals” and/or elements that could be found in trace levels in everything from drinking water to any consumable naturally derived product. In the state of California, these warnings are on menus and doorways of every restaurant and fast food chain, including donut and coffee shops and any establishment serving food. These same warnings are also on all foods and consumables throughout the state, as you would routinely see this in grocery stores. California is the only state to adopt these laws. The limits listed in PROP 65 are based on daily ingestible levels of any of these substances that may be added to the potential contaminants found in the drinking water and other consumables already found in the state. In order to meet California law, we include this warning label on our products. While our ingredients are cleanly sourced and checked for contaminants, there are still levels that are deemed unsafe by the state of California, and thus we have complied by using this warning label:

WARNING For California Residents Only: This product may contain substances known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Prop 65 is known as the formally titled “The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986”.
